Frequently asked questions

Webfactory OS & collaboration

What does Webfactory OS do?

Webfactory OS is a digital full-service agency from Zurich. We combine strategy, brand and creative work, websites and online shops, digital systems and digital marketing – so that companies present themselves clearly online and get found.

What does digital full-service agency mean?

For us, full service means the entire digital path of your customers in one collaboration – strategy, brand and creative work, web and commerce, digital systems and digital marketing. Traditional production such as print, billboards, radio/TV or events is not part of our offer.

What does “OS” in the name mean?

OS is part of our brand name and stands for our approach of connecting digital services in a structured way rather than in isolation.

Why connect brand, digital and marketing?

Because brand, website, digital systems and marketing work together. When the same agency connects them, there are fewer hand-offs and a consistent presence – from brand to digital project to growth.

Who is Webfactory OS for?

For companies, self-employed persons and organisations ordering for commercial or professional purposes (B2B). Private orders for personal use are not intended. All prices are net, plus statutory VAT; you see the gross amount before placing a binding order.

Services

Which services does Webfactory OS offer?

Five areas: strategy, brand & creative, web & commerce, digital systems and digital marketing. You can commission them as a combination or individually.

I already have a website. What happens to it?

We look at your current presence and use brand, colours and structure as a starting point. Together we decide whether to modernise, develop further or deliberately take a new direction.

Will my brand be preserved?

If you want it to, yes. Colours, recognition and brand character can be preserved – while design and user experience are modernised.

Pricing & models

How much does a website or online shop cost?

A website costs from CHF 1’695.– one-time or from CHF 169.– per month, an online shop from CHF 2’495.– one-time or from CHF 249.– per month – each net, plus statutory VAT. We price digital systems and marketing individually.

One-time payment or subscription – what is the difference?

With a one-time payment you pay for the project once by invoice. With a subscription you pay monthly by QR bill and start with lower upfront costs. In both cases the scope is defined by your project.

What is the minimum subscription term?

The minimum term is 12 months. After the minimum term, the subscription continues for an indefinite period with monthly billing periods – without a new fixed renewal – and can be cancelled with 30 days’ notice to the end of a billing period.

How do I cancel the subscription?

In text form by email to our team or via «Request cancellation» in the customer portal. The date we receive it is decisive for the 30-day notice period; cancellation is possible at the earliest to the end of the minimum term, thereafter to the end of any monthly billing period. We record the cancellation and confirm the contract end and the last billing period in writing; billing continues as normal until then.

What do additional functions cost?

Additional features are priced individually for your project. With the subscription, their agreed price is spread over the first 12 months. Additional functions remain part of your project after month 12. Only their financing through the subscription ends.

Can I have my subscription project transferred?

Yes. After the minimum term you can have your project transferred for CHF 199 one-time plus VAT. The subscription continues as normal until the transfer is completed and ends with its completion. The details are set out in your personal offer.

Process

How does the collaboration begin?

With an enquiry: you describe your plans, we get back to you personally and discuss the goal and your starting point. You then receive a concept and a personal offer.

How does a project work?

Enquiry, personal conversation, concept, offer, implementation, collaboration and launch. Depending on the project, we bring documents, status and feedback together in the customer portal. You always know what happens next.

Can I discuss my project in person?

Yes. Request a consultation online – we will get back to you personally – or visit us at our office in Zurich by appointment.

When will my project be online?

For websites and online shops, implementation takes typically 7–10 working days from production release. This is a typical timeline, not a guaranteed date – while we wait for content or feedback, the schedule pauses. We plan digital systems and marketing project by project.

Will I be supported after launch?

You receive an introduction so you can edit content yourself. We agree further support such as updates, backups and adjustments individually on request – as well as support in marketing.

Marketing & growth

Does Webfactory OS also offer digital marketing?

Yes. Digital marketing is a service area in its own right: strategy and positioning, SEO and GEO, content, social media strategy and content, campaigns, paid advertising (paid media), email marketing, lead generation, improving the website for more enquiries (conversion), analytics and – where it makes sense – automated marketing processes. We clarify in conversation which of these suit you.

Where does marketing start at Webfactory OS?

With your goal: we first clarify what you want to achieve and then choose the measures that fit.

What is GEO?

GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization: we structure content so that it is well understood not only by Google but increasingly also by AI-powered search systems. We cannot guarantee placements or results.

Can I book digital marketing only?

Yes. Our services do not have to be booked as a complete package. You can choose just the area that is relevant to you – for example digital marketing – where it makes sense. We clarify this in conversation.

What does marketing cost?

That depends on goal, scope and channels. We discuss it personally and prepare an individual offer for you.

Can you guarantee specific results?

No. We work in a goal-oriented way, but we do not promise any specific rankings, reach or revenue.

Digital systems

What are digital systems?

Custom solutions that go beyond a website – for example web apps (browser-based applications for a specific business process), customer portals, booking and reservation solutions, interfaces (connections between two systems), automations (recurring processes that run automatically) and digital workflows. Depending on the project, platforms, configurators (digital selection or assembly functions) or member areas are also possible.

When is a website no longer enough?

When processes, data or customer interactions need to be handled digitally – for example a customer portal, a booking solution or the connection of existing systems. We discuss with you what is sensible and feasible.

How are custom solutions priced?

By scope and effort. After a personal conversation, you receive an individual offer.

Visualisation

What is the visualisation?

If you wish, we make first design directions visible before implementation – as orientation, not as a finished draft. The visualisation is optional, free of charge and non-binding.

Do I have to do a visualisation first?

No. The visualisation is optional. You can request a consultation directly and discuss your plans personally.

Your question is not listed?

Discuss your plans directly with us – we will get back to you personally.
